YarnArt Macrame Cotton
80% cotton, 20% polyester · for macrame, knitting and crocheting · medium thickness
About this yarn
YarnArt Macrame Cotton has the highest cotton content of the Macrame family at 80%, making it wonderfully versatile. You can use it for knotting (macrame), but it can also be knitted and crocheted with a 5 mm needle – one yarn for multiple techniques.
The medium thickness and sturdy, cotton-rich thread create beautiful, clear stitches and knots. Due to the high cotton content, it feels cool and natural, while the touch of polyester ensures shape retention.
One ball weighs 250 grams and yields approximately 225 meters.
What do you use Macrame Cotton for?
A true all-rounder, found among our macrame yarns:
· Macrame – wall hangings, plant hangers, and keychains.
· Clothing and accessories – knitting and crocheting with a natural look.
· Amigurumi – sturdy, neat stitches.
· Fine home textiles – cushions, placemats, and more.
· Bags – dimensionally stable and durable.

Helpful tips
· Knit or crochet with 5 mm — use the same size for both techniques.
· For macrame, pull the knots tight for a neat result.
· Maintain even tension so that bags and home accessories retain their shape beautifully.
Care
Thanks to its high cotton content, Macrame Cotton is machine washable at 30–40 °C on a delicate cycle. Lay your work flat to dry (or tumble dry on low heat) and iron if necessary with a damp cloth on medium heat.
